Shane McMahon, wanting to step out of his father's shadow finally broke away and stood out on his own with his very first company, the WWFR. However, things were far easier said than done. A fierce war reminisence of old Monday Nights had picked up between the two McMahons, with Shane breaking all ties to the McMahons and drawing more stars to his federation as time passed by.
However, it was pride before fall as in his arrogance and lack of experience, he failed to oversee the production nor notice the cracks growing within the locker room as tensions flared between the stars. It all came crashing down when the WWFR was finally forced to declare bankruptcy, leaving many to wonder if this was indeed the end of the McMahon legacy once and for all.
But not all would merely stand back to contemplate in silence.
Incensed by the whole turn of events, one of wrestling's most decorated veterans finally decided to walk out of the shadows with a threat, and a propsition.
Roddy Piper, while not a man known for tact nor patience had one thing Shane after years of being sheltered as WWE's crown prince did not: Wisdom, and the understanding of how the bussiness worked at the vantage point of a preformer.
The promise of physical harm if Shane dared to tar the name of the bussiness anymore was followed by a novel suggestion;
That Piper himself would guide the young McMahon as a Co-Owner until such time there was no use for his services.
Not long after, they were joined by another veteran; While Shane knew the bussiness from the company perspective and Roddy saw through the eyes of those who preformed, the gentler, more compassionate Mick Foley brought his knowledge of how the fans percieved the bussiness, as well as being the voice of reason between two naturally hot-headed individuals.
His request was only one; That Shane bring respect to the face of the industry once more, as a forth generation McMahon.
Together as a Triumvirate, they forged the blueprints for the GWA; From humble beginnings deep within the McMahon bunker of Connenicut to their base in the roots of modern pro-wrestling in New York.
Despite endless quarrels, both verbal (and physical) over the compnay's direction, there was one thing that all three men regardless of standing agreed upon;
That they would take the world by storm.
